Lead Test Technician
This is a mid to senior level technician with 5+ years’ experience in the testing and maintenance of electrical distribution systems and equipment.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of basic electrical theory including AC/DC circuits, Ohm’s Law, the power triangle, and 3-phase circuits.
A qualified individual should be able to perform basic testing practices including insulation resistance testing on low and medium voltage equipment, basic transformer tests (TTR, winding resistance, and polarization index), low and medium voltage breaker testing (primary/secondary injection testing, contact resistance, vacuum bottle testing, and hi-potential testing), and a basic knowledge of relays and protection circuits and equipment.
This job requires off-hours work, irregular schedules, and some travel.
Electrical Testing Apprentice
The testing apprentice is an entry level technician that will inspect, test, and maintain electrical equipment, such as circuit breakers and transformers.
The team member will inspect and test electrical systems and equipment on construction sites during acceptance and commissioning and in existing facilities such as industrial manufacturing sites, datacenters, airports, commercial buildings, and hospitals, etc. for regularly scheduled maintenance and to assist in troubleshooting during unplanned events.
The applicant should have a high-level mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve algebraic equations.
